The Hillel Student Center - Joseph and Vera Zilber Building

Our building, opened in July 2009, has won two design awards: a 2011 Merit Award from the American Institute of Architects-Wisconsin, and a 2010 Mayor's Design Award in the category of "Live. Work. Harmony."

    It’s holiday season again, and this time it’s all about Passover and Israel’s national holidays - Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Memorial Day), Yom HaZikaron (Remembrance Day) and Yom HaAtzmaut (Independence Day). As the semester passes by, and we’re almost at the end, it is the perfect time to welcome the spring and celebrate our time together!

  • Hillel Milwaukee's Mission

    We strive to create a dynamic, warm and celebratory Jewish environment for Milwaukee's university students and young adults (ages 18-26) where they can explore and express their Jewish identities and gain a sense of belonging within the Jewish community. We offer holiday and cultural programs, Shabbat dinners, leadership opportunities, social action projects, Israel programs, outdoor activities, and social gatherings. We welcome Jewish young adults from all backgrounds, including religious, secular and interfaith. We are also open to all local students who have a sincere desire to learn more about Judaism.
